The Real Estate/ Recording Division of the County Clerk's Office records liens against real property (such as contractors or materialman liens(PDF, 292KB)), state and federal tax liens.
Liens against motor vehicles are filed with the Titles Division as Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings. Liens are noted on the face of the Wyoming Certificate of Title to be perfected.
Liens filed on other types of personal property such as household goods, inventory, etc., are filed with the Secretary of State. Contact the Business Division at phone 307-777-7311, fax 307-777-5339, or email Business@wyo.gov.
