Specialty Plates

The following distinctive plates are available to qualified applicants:

  • Prisoner of War
  • Army National Guard
  • Air National Guard
  • Pearl Harbor Survivor
  • Disabled Veteran
  • Purple Heart Recipient
  • Firefighter
  • EMT
  • Veterans
  • University of Wyoming
  • Tribal
  • Embossed
  • Gold Star
  • Wildlife Conservation * additional yearly fee's

Applications must be submitted to the County Treasurer's Office where eligibility is determined. Approved applications will be forwarded to the Department of Transportation who will assign plate numbers and send plates to the County Treasurer's Office. Allow four to six weeks for processing.

Prestige/Radio Amateur Plates
Prestige and radio amateur plates are $30.00 per set. Applications are available at the County Treasurer's Office. Completed applications along with the fees must be submitted to:

Handicapped Plates
Applications for handicapped plates are available at the County Treasurer's Office. The application must be completed, signed by applicant's physician and submitted to:

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will determine eligibility for a license plate or placard. the County Treasurer's Office will issue plates and registration upon approval from WYDOT.

Wildlife Conservation
Any person required to register a vehicle in Wyoming may apply to WYDOT for the Wildlife Conservation License Plates for any motor vehicle that is not a commercial or multipurpose vehicle.

  1. A Completed application shall be mailed to the Wyoming Department of Transportation along with a fee of $180 made payable to WYDOT. ($150 to the Wildlife Conservation Fund and $30 Specialty Plate fee)
  2. To retain eligibility in future years, there is a $50 annual fee in addition to your regular registration fees.
  3. Plates will be issued numerically in consecutive order and forwarded to the County Treasurer's Office of the county of your choice.
  4. Current plates must be surrendered to the Treasurer's office upon issuance of the Wildlife Conservation Plates.
